They say that the best foundation for marriage is friendship, because when the passionate feelings start to fade or misunderstandings would threaten the relationship, it’s the bond of friendship that keeps the couple together. Well I say, I couldn’t agree with this more. The best of friends can be the best of lovers. Sometimes, you don't instantly know that the person standing in front of you is “the one”. The love of your life may actually be just a friend right now but at the proper time love will unveil itself. This is exactly what happened to the newlyweds I was with last Saturday.
Grace is a doctor, Sherwin was a medical representative and they met in the hospital where they worked. The two instantly hit it off as friends and belonged to one barkada later on. Grace couldn't help but notice how thoughtful Sherwin was. Slowly but surely, Grace was being singled out from the group and was given special treatment by him. It became more clear as time passed, that Sherwin had feelings for Grace and she felt the same way. What started off as innocent friendship blossomed into a romance and the two fell in love.
Even if the courtship ended when they became official, Sherwin never stopped pursuing Grace and was always mindful of all special occasions. Men usually forget monthsary dates but Sherwin never did. He would always come up with ways to surprise her every month with roses, chocolates and rooftop dinners. Grace is swept off of her feet every single time. After four years of being together, Sherwin prepared the ultimate surprise as he knelt down on one knee and asked Grace to marry him.
“The best foundation for relationships to grow, flourish, and succeed is a deep-rooted friendship.”

On their wedding day, the couple was filled with gratefulness and joy as they celebrated their four-year love story and the wonderful friendship they had even before that.Infact, they wanted to remember the very first time they met and the place where their friendship grew, so we took a quick photo shoot there...In the hospital and in that table. It was a very fun experience as we sneaked into the exit to avoid the crowd.

by the happy looks on their faces, the adventure was worth it!  :)
