Maviel Gonzales

I came to know Mav Gonzales in VCF where we sang in the same band together. One thing that becomes very obvious at the onset is her talent. Not only did she have great vocals but sang from the heart— it’s something else. She also has that great personality- perky, bubbly and very fun loving  Her friendliness makes you instantly feel at home with her. You would love being around this girl because she simply exudes that kind of happy disposition. There was always a smile on her face and I don't recall actually seeing her having a bad day. That’s the Mav that I know.

In spite of her girl-next-door appearance, Maviel is actually an all-around achiever and go-getter. She’s the co-host on GMA’s show For The Win and a sports reporter for GMA News. A lot of people recognize her as that reporter who always follows around the Azkals, a job some girls would kill for. Also, Mav is a courtside report for the PBA.

This love she has for her work as a sports journalist is traced back to her passion for sports. She joined swimming competitions during her high school days and even engaged in taekwondo  badminton and tennis. Although she’s very kinetic, Mav is also quite cerebral too. In Ateneo where she graduated, she maintained her scholarship and was an active writer for the school publication. She’s beauty and brains alright. Your average girl can’t simply achieve such a feat! I've always had that suspicion that underneath her jeans and shirt is a Superwoman costume.

I'm pretty sure that if you meet this girl in person, you'd adore her as much as I do!
